Top 10 Questions to Ask when Choosing your English Language School
How does one decide on a language school and chooses the one that meets their expectations. Here is the list of questions that will help you make the right choice with honest answers from St. George's School of English to get you started.
At St. George's School of English we are passionate about what we offer and choices we encourage.

What are the class sizes? At our school we have classes as small as 10 and as large as 18. Why? Because of different requirements of our clients. At St. George’s School of English it is all about you and this is why we ask every client to complete a form to tell us exactly what they need to achieve during their stay with us.
What material do you use? St. George’s adapts all lessons to their students’ needs which makes it impossible to follow one book. We use material based on the requirements of each client and offer flexibility across all students’ academic needs. We purchase new and up to date material every year based on the needs of our students.
Are there classes of different levels? Am I going to be tested? We test all students for their grammar and comprehension using a recommended test. We briefly assess your communication skills and then place you in a class based on your test result and your communication skills pre-assessment. Further assessment is carried out by the teacher in the class. If you and your teacher feel that you need to change the level we change your class without hesitation. Your studies at St. George’s are all about you achieving goals you set out to achieve.
What if I want to change the class? We have many available levels and changing a class is never a problem. We make it our job to push you to achieve so will always encourage you to aim higher.
What feedback will I receive? You will receive a report written by your teacher assessing your current work and giving you guidelines for your future learning. A diploma is also presented at the end of your stay.
Are there any hidden costs? No. We break down the price for you right at the first encounter so there are no misunderstandings and you can explore all your options with us. We do not require you to purchase any books either. Although we have recommended self-study books available for those who wish to purchase a useful reference.
What qualifications do teachers have? Majority of teachers at St. George’s School of English have a degree level qualification. And all have the required qualifications for teaching English as well as many other professional skills and qualifications which our clients find very useful. This enables us to incorporate other aspects of English into our lessons when needed. We easily integrate Business English, English for professional use or specific English language skills into our lessons to make our lessons current.
What is there to do in my free time? Apart from using our self-study areas with WIFI access, or a library, you can socialise in our student lounge and our garden. Staff are always here to talk to you and provide any help and guidance. We have a dedicated team who look after the social programme and has information about local events, sightseeing spots and exploration places readily available.
Do I need to buy any books and workbooks? No. We do not require you to purchase any study material at all. We prepare material for every lesson based on everyone's individual requirements and provide all material plus more. You can also always consult your teacher about receiving more material related to topics covered or topics you wish to read or learn yourself should you wish to. We also have recommended self-study guides available to purchase for those who wish to have a useful reference.
