Teacher of English as a Foreign Language

Our friendly team is looking for the right Teacher of EFL to join us in Worthing.
KEY ROLES
-
To teach allocated classes of adults and juniors.
-
To prepare, deliver and assess students learning to the required high standards and expectations of the School and the students themselves.
-
To market and promote courses and programmes to a range of stakeholders.
-
To monitor and report on learners’ progress to all required parties and stakeholders.
MAIN DUTIES
-
Preparation and delivery of lessons and courses; assessment, recording and reporting on assessments of students.
-
Acting as group and personal tutor; delivery of tutorial programme; guidance to members of tutor group; supporting and participating in content development; accurate maintenance of registers; preparation of reports.

Consultation and reporting with leaders, agents and colleagues as needed.
-
Attendance at staff, team meetings and consultation meetings.
-
Participation in examination arrangements.

Participation in learner admissions, learner trips and visits, enrichment and guidance of learners.

Participation in marketing and promotional events.
GENERAL DUTIES
The post holder will be required to:
-
perform any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Director and the School management.

participate in appraisal and professional development as appropriate.

carry out their duties with due regard to the school’s policies, health and safety and quality assurance.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
The post holder will be required to have the following qualifications and skills:

relevant experience of preparing students to achieve practical English language skills
-
TEFL level of qualification as a minimum
-
a general interest in English language and culture
-
sophisticated level of English and English vocabulary
